Arts Assembly

“WE HEART THE ARTS ASSEMBLY”

Thank you from Miss Olsen, Miss Bartley and Ms Mundy for all who attended the WE HEART THE ARTS assembly.

The assembly featured and celebrated the Art and Music program as well as the Kapa Haka Group.

The assembly was opened with the song ‘This Is Me’, sung by Scarlett and Asante, and accompanied by the Year 5/6 dance group. The song is about being proud of who you are as an individual, which is why the Arts is so important.

On Thursday, after school, the Music and Art room were opened to the parents and students. Both rooms were very busy and it was fantastic to see so many parents getting involved in the activities.

We hope to see everyone again next year to celebrate the creative programs we have at Somerly Primary School!
